The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Chapter 102 is excited to invite you to partner with us as a valued sponsor for the upcoming Exceptional Student and School Professional Award Banquet. This prestigious event will take place on Monday, May 1, 2025, at Erin's Pavilion in Southwind Park, bringing together educators, students, and community leaders to celebrate the outstanding achievements of students with disabilities and the dedicated professionals who support them.
CEC is the largest international professional organization committed to improving the success of children and youth with disabilities and/or gifts and talents. Through advocacy, professional development, and access to vital resources, CEC provides unwavering support to special educators and the students they serve.
About CEC Chapter 102:
CEC Chapter 102 is the local chapter of this national organization, serving Springfield and surrounding communities. As a non-profit organization, all proceeds from this event go directly toward supporting the banquet, including keeping costs minimal for families, providing awards for all student nominees and one professional award, and covering facility rental expenses. Additionally, funds help support professional development workshops throughout the year for educators, administrators, paraprofessionals, and families, ensuring continued learning and advocacy in the field of special education.
This annual banquet serves as a meaningful platform to recognize students who have demonstrated exceptional progress and growth in academics, behavior, and personal development. Additionally, we honor the school professionals whose tireless dedication and commitment make a profound difference in the lives of these students.
